This flat is a shelter and a hideaway in the middle of Prague. Displayed objects tell stories of the history as well as the present time of Czech design. This is the concept introduced by a young architect Lenka Míková. Using pre-designed surfaces and in-built furniture, she created a home for a designer, an architect and their little son. The flat is full of accessories the family gets from its friends, who mostly work in creative industries too. These objects are combined with iconic design and many plants that make the flat look like an oasis in the middle of a capital. And so does the roof terrace with a astonishing view and a fireplace.
Luxury means being able to breathe clean air and drink fresh water. It also means avoiding hurry and having an oasis in the middle of the city. Including a terrace with a 360° view.
Lenka Míková studied architecture in Prague and Paris. She gained her first experience working for studios in the Czech Republic as well as abroad. Furthermore, she co-established the edit! atelier and since 2014, she has been working independently with her own studio. She specialises in reconstructions, interiors and installations. In her opinion, her style is based on purifying: of shapes, motives and ideas. So that natural and simple beauties become apparent.
